The Epson printer is 127 x 127 x 130 mm in size and works with both Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity. An antibacterial coating provides protection against liquids up to IPX2 standards. It takes 80mm paper rolls, but with the ‘spacer’ you can also use 58mm paper rolls if you prefer. The printer handles everything from sales receipts and order tickets for efficient kitchen preparation to end-of-day or shift reports.
Yes, with the POS Plus plan you can connect more than one printer and route the right tickets to the right place. You can add as many printers as you need for your business, for example drinks receipts to the bar, food receipts to the kitchen, and sales receipts at the checkout.
A traditional cash register or till is designed to record sales and store cash. A modern POS system like SumUp Register goes far beyond that. It combines payments, order and staff management, inventory tracking, reporting and loyalty tools in one device — so you can manage your entire business from a single countertop solution.
SumUp Register is more than a cash register. While it handles payments just like a traditional cash till, it also manages staff, tracks inventory, sends orders to the kitchen, provides real-time reporting and much more — all in one easy-to-use POS system.
In the UK, “till” usually refers to the checkout station, often a cash register till and cash drawer used to take payments. It’s mainly focused on handling individual transactions.
A POS system includes the checkout, but also adds tools for inventory management, reporting, staff permissions more. In other words, your POS can act as your till while also giving you more control over your business.
SumUp Register is a complete POS solution. By simply adding a cash drawer, you get everything you’d expect from a traditional till plus the additional tools you need to manage and run your business more efficiently.
The SumUp cash drawer is steel construction, 330 x 360 x 100mm in size and weighs 5kg. It features a removable drawer with a lock that opens electronically or manually. The cash drawer connects via printer with an RJ11 or RJ12 adaptor cable.
